VEHICLE REMAPPING AGREEMENT

1. PARTIES

This Agreement is made between:

  • Service Provider: Remap Gods (“the Company”)
  • Client:  (“the Client”)

By using Remap Gods, the Client acknowledges and accepts the terms outlined below regarding the remapping and/or software modifications performed on their vehicle.

2. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISKS & CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY

2.1. The Client understands that remapping or modifying a vehicle’s ECU (Engine Control Unit) may alter manufacturer settings, affect emissions controls, and change vehicle performance.

2.2. The Client acknowledges that any modifications to emissions control systems, including but not limited to:

  • Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) bypass or removal
  • Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) modification
  • AdBlue system deactivation
  • Swirl Flaps removal or modification
  • Any other emissions-related components
     are intended for off-road or motorsport use only and may not comply with UK road-legal emissions regulations.

2.3. The Client accepts full responsibility for ensuring their vehicle meets all applicable UK laws, including MOT and emissions compliance.

2.4. The Client understands that remapping may void or invalidate their manufacturer’s warranty and accepts full responsibility for any consequences arising from such modifications.

3. NO WARRANTY & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

3.1. The Company provides no warranty, guarantee, or assurance regarding the continued performance, reliability, or lifespan of any remapped vehicle.

3.2. The Client agrees that the Company is not liable for any mechanical, electrical, or software failures that may occur after remapping, including (but not limited to):

  • Engine failure or damage
  • Gearbox or transmission failure
  • Turbocharger or fuel system issues
  • Increased wear on clutch, brakes, or drivetrain
  • Unexpected increases in fuel consumption

3.3. The Client acknowledges that remapping increases power output and torque, which may place additional strain on engine and transmission components. The Client accepts full responsibility for any resulting wear or damage.

3.4. The Client understands that any changes made to vehicle software are permanent unless explicitly agreed otherwise before work commences.

4. INSURANCE, ROAD LEGALITY & LEGAL COMPLIANCE

4.1. The Client acknowledges that modifications may affect their vehicle’s insurance policy and that they must inform their insurer of any changes.

4.2. The Company accepts no liability for any invalidation of insurance policies due to modifications performed.

4.3. The Client understands that bypassing emissions control systems may breach UK laws, including the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986 and MOT emissions standards. The Client accepts full legal responsibility for ensuring compliance.

5. PRE-EXISTING FAULTS & VEHICLE CONDITION

5.1. The Client acknowledges that any faults, errors, or malfunctions present before remapping are solely their responsibility.

5.2. If, during diagnostic checks, the Company identifies fault codes, warning lights, or mechanical/electrical issues, the Client will be informed. The Company reserves the right to refuse to proceed with the remap if pre-existing issues are found.

5.3. If the Client chooses to proceed despite pre-existing issues, they accept full responsibility for any consequences, including worsening faults, breakdowns, or further vehicle damage.

5.4. The Client understands that it is their responsibility to ensure the vehicle is in full working order before requesting a remap.

6. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY

6.1. The Client confirms that they are the legal owner or an authorised representative of the vehicle being modified.

6.2. The Client agrees to fully indemnify the Company and its employees, contractors, and affiliates against any legal claims, fines, penalties, losses, or damages arising from the modifications performed.

6.3. The Client waives any right to pursue legal action against the Company for any loss, damage, injury, or legal consequences resulting from remapping.

7. AGREEMENT

7.1. By proceeding with a remap from Remap Gods, the Client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Agreement.

7.2. The Client acknowledges that they have had the opportunity to ask questions and have received sufficient information regarding the remapping process and its potential risks.

7.3. This Agreement is legally binding and remains in effect indefinitely for the vehicle identified herein.
